Overview
Edera provides workload isolation for containers and Kubernetes through isolated execution environments called zones. Its documentation covers deployment on Kubernetes, standalone operation, resource management, networking and GPU passthrough. The design introduces a virtualization boundary around workloads rather than relying only on container namespaces.
The official documentation includes installation guides, architectural explanations and operational references. Evaluating Edera means looking beyond an initial deployment: host requirements, workload compatibility and ongoing maintenance all affect whether the isolation model suits a particular platform.
What to evaluate
- Check supported host configurations, virtualization requirements and managed Kubernetes installation paths.
- Verify workload networking, storage, device access and Kubernetes RuntimeClass integration.
- Measure startup behaviour, resource overhead and workload performance using representative applications.
- Review zone updates, kernel maintenance, monitoring and recovery procedures.
- Compare documented isolation boundaries with the requirements of the intended tenancy model.
