Proprietary platform; separate open-source components

Aikido Security combines application and cloud security checks with developer workflows for investigating findings and proposing fixes. Its documented checks cover dependencies, secrets, static code analysis, infrastructure configuration, containers and exposed domains. Pull-request checks and developer integrations bring results closer to the code being changed.

Where it fits

Consider Aikido when a small engineering or security team needs a shared way to review findings across several repositories and deployment environments. A useful trial is a representative application with known dependency, code and configuration problems. Compare which issues it finds, what context it provides and how easily developers can reproduce and resolve them. Local scanning options are relevant when the team needs to control where code analysis runs.

What to evaluate

Check supported languages and integrations against your actual stack, review repository and cloud permissions, and inspect how exceptions and release gates work. Treat generated fixes as code changes requiring review and tests. The commercial platform is distinct from Aikido’s open-source projects such as Zen, Safe Chain and Opengrep contributions. Free access or an open-source component does not make the whole service open source.
